Our Story

Youths at school

The Beginning

PlanetCare Uganda started in 2024 when a group of students noticed how much waste their school(Friends International Christian Academy) produced every day. After learning about climate change in science class, they decided to take action!

Youths recycling

First Projects

The team started with simple projects like classroom recycling bins and "Lights Off" reminders. The success of these small actions inspired them to create PlanetCare to involve more youths.

Growing team

Growing the Movement

Word spread quickly! Within a year, PlanetCare_Uganda expanded to 3 schools(FICA,KLICA,SHILOH) with over 15 youths participating in our challenges. Our secret? Making environmental care fun and rewarding as how God destined it to be!

Water Warrior

Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth for one week. Save up to 10 gallons of water!

Energy Expert
